Background:
Caroline has a background in fine art.
She has worked in adolescent/adult EFL/ESOL since 1989 in Brazil, Portugal , London and Weston-super-Mare in both the private and public sectors.
Caroline started to work with community outreach in 2007 developing and delivering a range of informal learning programmes.
Caroline became self employed in 2008 and thereafter became interested in business potential.
In 2008 she completed an entrepreneur scholarship and then went on to study business and fundraising management.
Caroline incorporated BCT in February 2010 with the primary support of North Somerset Enterprise Agency and the European Commission.

Background:
Mel is a teacher of language.
She has worked with adults since 1980, teaching EFL/ESOL privately (Portugal and Czech Republic for 6 years) and in the UK public sector for the rest(principally colleges in Weston-super-Mare and Bristol). She has also taught literacy and Portuguese.
Mel has worked independently, been part of a team of teachers and also a team leader for some years. She has developed and delivered courses for ESOL learners from Pre-entry (complete beginner) to Level 2 (upper intermediate).
She gained a Masters Degree in Language Studies from Lancaster University in 1994 and became self-employed in 2010.
Mel is enthusiastic about BCT because she believes that the ability to communicate is a right and a pleasure - what better way to bring communities together?

Background:
Cirlei comes from Brazil where she carried out several Community Projects since she graduated in Social Communication in 1985.
She has a broad experience working within community and environmental projects.
In 1999 she moved to England and since 2003 she has worked as a Community Development Worker for North Somerset Council.
She has developed and delivered projects that aim to engage members of the Ethnic Minority groups into education.
