Case Study: Creative Art Workshops

Who will benefit?

Children and parents during the holidays.

Aims:

The creative art workshops will allow children to use their experiences of learning in the wild to produce project based art work.

Project result:

The children who participated in this were able to apply their experience of learning in the open air into creative medium.

The group worked with large and chunky materials and were free to express themselves using the medium of their choice.

The children's task was not to create perfect lines but to re create the atmosphere of being inside the forest.

They were free to explore at their own pace which allowed them to be confident about what they were achieving.

The children grasped the concept that there was no right or wrong in their work but that it was how they as individuals wished to express it.
